Following this year's parish school 8th grade Baccalaureate Mass and then again on Father's Day, parish families were given an opportunity to "write a message to God" on one of the steel studs that will be used in construction of our new church. Hundreds of children, teens, and adults (including the Sisters of the Cross) took advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity to become part of history. For many years to come they and their families will know that their messages have become part of the structure and a very real reminder of their closeness to God.
The photos below (courtesy of Jeff Broome Commercial Photography) give an idea of the depth of feeling and prayerful expression in the messages written on the over forty studs that are now part of our new church. Some of the studs are included in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and others will soon become part of the walls and structures in the worship space. This was indeed a very memorable experience for all who participated. 7 Photos
