Deacon Jose’s Trip to Spain

This video is of Deacon Jose’s trip to Spain with his pictures of the many famous locations and churches the World Youth Day group will get to see along their pilgrimage.

 

St. Stanislaus is blessed to have 15 people going to World Youth Day, in Madrid Spain this upcoming August 2011. This is a pilgrimage which will enrich the lives of these opportune young people, who will be able to attend mass most every day and visit some of the most historical places in the Catholic Church today; while being with 1 million other young people.

Itinerary

The Stockton Diocese will be in the Diocese of Toledo. The group leaves San Francisco on August 10th and arrives in Madrid the next day on August 11st. They will in Spain for two weeks. After spending 4 days in the Diocese of Toledo, the group will then go to Madrid for a week-long celebration, with mass, plus prayer and worship. On Monday August 22nd, the group will take a bus to Barcelona spend 3 days in the coastal city and then leaving Spain on August 25th.

Here is a tentative schedule

Wednesday August 10th

8:00AM Mass at Maze blvd. Church

9:00AM Leave for San Francisco Airport (leaving from 1200 Maze blvd.)

11:00AM Arrive at San Francisco International Airport

2:00PM Flight departs for Madrid (Transfer in Amsterdam)

Thursday August 11th

4:00PM Arrive in Madrid

Fund-Raisers

The fundraisers were a big success thanks to the support of the whole community, the pilgrims are on their way to Spain and will keep you up to date with their day by day activities.

Be at the morning pilgrim’s mass August 10, 8 a.m. the bus will leave at 9 a.m.
