"Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand’"

by Rev. Sleevaraj Pasala  |  01/22/2023  |  From the Clergy

We have begun the Ordinary Liturgical Season. Ordinary is not being casual or cynical with our spiritual duties during this time; But the Season itself challenges us to live the life of simplicity and purity every day, filled with deeds of repentance, forgiveness, love and charity.

The Word of God challenges every couple to live Life of faithfulness and fidelity.

The Word of God challenges every individual to live upright life and orient life towards God. The Word of God challenges every employer and employee to live just and righteous life.

The Word of God challenges every community to live life of Christian fellowship.

Isaiah prophesied, ‘People who walked in darkness have seen great light’. Psalmist says, ‘Lord, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path’. We should know that Jesus is the Light for us; Jesus is the Truth for us; Jesus is the Way for us.

The light of Christ dispels darkness in us. We need to make sure that we are with Jesus, the Light; And so we do not walk in darkness, the worldly wretched ways. Let us prayerfully and consciously choose to walk in the light of Christ, who brings life in abundance and life for eternity.
