Blessed month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!
by Rev. Adrian Cisneros | 06/02/2024 | From the ClergyHappy June to all of you, or better yet, a Blessed month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus! This month we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Sacred Heart of Jesus, and specifically, this weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ-Corpus Christi.
Pay attention to the words of the Gospel this weekend, like we should every weekend, but this weekend you will hear the same words the priest, in the person of Christ, speaks at the Mass. Entering in to this scene with Jesus and his disciples may help us better enter into the mystery of the Mass; helps us believe more the miracle which is happening right in front of our eyes.
In my two years here at St. Stanislaus I have been trying to help all of you enter more deeply into the Sacredness and reverence of the Mass. And I will continue to help make the encounter with the Word of God and the Body and blood of Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass more profound for you.
Thank you for your prayers and patience this last year with the major repair project of the church on Maze. At the time I am writing this I have not been given an official re-entry date, but I know it will be this summer-late June or early July. I am very excited to get back into that beautiful church of ours, and while it will look the same, for the most part, there have been some noticeable positive changes and improvements. Please be on the look out for the re-opening date and soon after that, we hope to have a larger celebration in thanksgiving for the completion of this major project and for our St. Stanislaus family. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
