“You are the salt of the world. You are the light of the world.”
by Father Adrian Cisneros | 02/08/2026 | From the Clergy“You are the salt of the world. You are the light of the world.”
“Just so, your light must shine before others, that they mat see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.”
These are three sayings taken from this Sunday’s Gospel, and as I was reflecting on the gospel, I was prompted to especially think of the youth of the Church. While these sayings refer to us disciples, I especially think they speak to our youth.
This is one reason why I am so very happy to have a new youth minister at St. Stanislaus and the Lifeteen and Edge youth programs back at our parish to serve our youth! Beginning this week, middle school youth group will meet on Thursdays at 6:30pm at the Lifehouse and high school youth group will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30pm at the Lifehouse-this is the small modular building in between the community center and the back of the convent. If you have children or grandchildren or know any youth, please invite them and encourage them to attend this group to grow in their Catholic faith and meet other Catholic youth so to begin having a faith-filled group of friends. There will be signage at the church as well as a banner for information.
Please pray for this youth program, for Clarissa our youth minister and for all the youth.
Also, please pray for Bishop Ramon Bejarano, a former pastor of St. Stanislaus, as he becomes the ordinary Bishop of the Diocese of Monterrey. As for all priests and bishops, he too will need our prayers in his ministry as he shepherds the faithful entrusted to him.
