Let your yes mean yes

“Let your yes mean yes…” Last weekend, we began the monthly “Young Adult” Mass at the 5:00pm Saturday Mass. It was a beautiful liturgy and an impressive turnout-Praise God! The hospitality ministry even handed out water and popcorn after that Mass! The next Young Adult Mass will be Saturday, March 4 at 5:00pm, and after that Mass, I would like to invite the young adults to stay for a bit afterwards to begin to get to know one another and plan the first social event for this ministry.

We are also in the works to revive the Spanish youth group-“Juventud y Cristo,” which will also have regular gatherings. We also finished up Catholic Schools week, which was super successful, leading to much interest in children attending our very own parish school and bring attention to the wonderful work our principal, teachers, staff and school families do to enhance the lives of our children.

The monthly “Parish catechesis,” which will be a monthly event, was also well received, kicked off by praying a rosary together as a parish family and I gave my vocation story. As you can see, there are a lot of beautiful things happening here at St. Stanislaus, with more to come-it is very exciting to be a part of! Once, again I invite all of you to pray for a successful Maze church repair project (please see the update on that project in this bulletin), and I invite all of you to Mass on Wednesday, February 15 at 6:00pm for the anniversary of the dedication of the Maze church!
