3rd Sunday of Lent

by Deacon Oscar Cervantes  |  03/03/2024  |  From the Clergy

On this third Sunday of Lent we look at how the word of God speaks to us through the scriptures, it reminds us of the commandments and how we should behave since he is a jealous God and he knows our thoughts and knows well where we fail in our life. He reminds us how we should behave, so that we can be in grace with him, since he has words of eternal life and in him there is no fault.

He also shows us how angry he gets when we do what we shouldn't in his house, if he throws out all the sellers not because of what they did but because he knew their thoughts that they only looked at the good of money not that of serving him with what they did. In this time of Lent we must analyze our actions and thoughts. Do we follow God for the love of Him? Or do we only follow God because of how good he is to us and all that he grants us? Let us seek in this Lent how I follow God's commandments and what my love for him is like. In order to change our way of being in this time of conversion.
