Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,

Durante este segundo año del avivamiento eucarístico, una de las formas que puede crecer en nuestra relación con el Señor Eucarístico se encuentra en experimentar la Adoración y la Bendición del Santísimo Sacramento. Dentro de esta solemne tradición eucarística, rezamos juntos y proclamamos lo que se conoce como las Alabanzas Divinas. Al profesar estas benditas alabanzas, nuestra atención se dirige profundamente a las verdades con respecto a Nuestra bienaventurada Señora:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

During this second year of the Eucharistic Revival, one of the ways that can grow in our relationship with the  Eucharistic Lord is found in experiencing Adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Within this solemn eucharistic tradition, we pray together and proclaim what is known as the: Divine Praises. As we profess these blessed praises, our attention is profoundly drawn to truths in regard to Our Lady and her blessedness:

There is no perfect family. We do not have perfect parents, we are not perfect, we do not marry a perfect person or have perfect children. We have complaints from each other. We disappoint each other. So, there is no healthy marriage or healthy family without the exercise of forgiveness.Forgiveness is vital to our emotional health and spiritual survival. Without forgiveness the family becomes an arena of conflict and a stronghold of hurt. Without forgiveness, the family becomes ill.

No hay una familia perfecta. No tenemos padres perfectos, no somos perfectos, no nos casamos con una persona perfecta ni tenemos hijos perfectos. Tenemos quejas mutuas. Nos decepcionamos mutuamente. Por lo tanto, no hay matrimonio saludable o familia sana sin el ejercicio del perdón.

El perdón es vital para nuestra salud emocional y supervivencia espiritual. Sin perdón, la familia se convierte en una arena de conflicto y una fortaleza de dolor. Sin perdón, la familia se enferma.

The exterior demo work of the church on Maze Blvd. is nearly complete with only a few small areas and the dome remaining. A "green" weather proofing barrier has been installed around the entire church's exterior. Next will be another barrier "blue" and prep coating before stucco can be reapplied. All windows needing repair have been removed and being worked on and the extensive work on the dome is well underway. The repair project is moving along smoothly and continues to be on schedule for completion before Holy Week 2024.

El trabajo de demostración exterior de la iglesia en Maze Blvd. está casi completo con solo unas pocas áreas pequeñas y la cúpula restante. Se ha instalado una barrera impermeable "verde" alrededor de todo el exterior de la iglesia. Lo siguiente será otra barrera "azul" y una capa de preparación antes de que se pueda volver a aplicar el estuco. Todas las ventanas que necesitaban reparación se han quitado y se está trabajando en ellas, y el extenso trabajo en la cúpula está en marcha. El proyecto de reparación avanza sin problemas y continúa según lo programado para completarse antes de la Semana Santa de 2024.

The 2023-24 school year is officially underway. St. Stanislaus parish and school have been entrusted with the academic and spiritual education of the children of its community. As we share our own faith journey in the classrooms and around the school and parish, we love to see the growth that happens in our students throughout the year. We are hopeful that they will learn about the love Christ has for them and we trust that we will be led by the Holy Spirit, and be blessed throughout the year. 

El año escolar 2023-24 está oficialmente en marcha. La parroquia y la escuela de San Estanislao se han encargado de la educación académica y espiritual de los niños de su comunidad. Mientras compartimos nuestro propio viaje de fe en las aulas y alrededor de la escuela y la parroquia, nos encanta ver el crecimiento que ocurre en nuestros estudiantes durante todo el año. Tenemos la esperanza de que aprenderán sobre el amor que Cristo tiene por ellos y confiamos en que seremos guiados por el Espíritu Santo y seremos bendecidos durante todo el año.

The voice of the Lord is unfolded to us every day through the reading of the Scriptures and the sacraments, through family and good friends; Also in conversation with the Lord in prayer and adoration.

Do we read the Word and Listen to His Voice?

Do we pray and allow the Lord to speak to us?

Do we make an effort to listen to him?

La voz del Señor se nos revela todos los días a través de la lectura de las Escrituras y los sacramentos, a través de la familia y los buenos amigos; También en conversación con el Señor en oración y adoración.

¿Leemos la Palabra y escuchamos Su Voz?

¿Oramos y permitimos que el Señor nos hable?

¿Hacemos un esfuerzo por escucharlo?

"Rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you." Luke 1:27

Throughout the Holy Scripture (The Holy Bible/Word of God) we meet a number of men and women who lived a profound experience of God in their lives. From each one of them we could learn a lot, the call of God, their vocation, mission, witness, his writings etc. From all of them there is a lesson for our Christian life. The young Jewish woman Mary of Nazareth stands out. Of this extraordinary woman, the following highlights:

Rezo para que tu verano esté yendo bien que puedas relajarte un poco, al menos descansar. He completado un como administrador parroquial de San Estanislao, el 6 de julio, cuatro años como sacerdote, ¡el tiempo ha pasado tan rapido!

My dear St. Stanislaus family,

I pray that your summer is going well and that you are able to slow down little bit, or at least re-charge bit. have completed one year as the parochial administrator of St. Stanislaus, and as of July 6th four years as priest-time has gone by so fast!

On this parables Jesus explain: The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while people were sleeping his enemy came and sowed weed seeds among the wheat and went away, then he tells them the parable of the mustard seed. If we try to understand each one of these parables, most like we will get confused since Jesus was just explaining this comparison for us to explain the kingdom of heaven. Normally we look for God on the spectacular or in amazing moments, not in the small or insignificant. That’s why the people of that time were so difficult to see that the kingdom of God was present among them. This is not to far from the way we look now on day.

En esta parábola Jesús explica: El reino de los cielos se parece a un hombre que sembró buena semilla en su campo; pero mientras la gente dormía, un enemigo fue y sembró cizaña en medio del trigo y se marchó. Luego le dice la parábola de la semilla de mostaza y luego la otra parábola es la de la levadura. Si buscamos literalmente que significa cada una de estas parábolas quizás nos vamos aconfundir ya que las parábolas de Jesús solo nos estaban dando comparaciones de lo que nosotros humanamente entendemos para así explicarnos el reino de Dios. Por lo general tendemos a buscar a Dios en lo espectacular y prodigioso, no en lo pequeño e insignificante. Por eso a los oyentes de ese tiempo se les hacia imposible entender que el reino de los cielos ya estaba presente. Esto no es muy lejano al día de hoy ya que muchos todavía tendemos a no entender.

Escuchar la Palabra de Dios, entenderla con la mente y llevarla al corazón para que enseguida dé fruto. Así de fácil es decirlo, pero, ponerla en práctica es como el proceso de la semilla que se siembra, se entierra, y poco a poco, con la luz del sol, brota cuando menos se espera. Cuidar es la clave para que haya fruto en abundancia. Dejar que la semilla penetre en el corazón es no dejar de luchar contra las tentaciones que a diario nos aquejan. El diablo siempre está en busca de quitarnos las cosas buenas que tenemos, tal como la bondad y las ganas de trabajar por la justicia y la paz. La vida cristiana no es fácil, no estamos aquí para encontrarlo todo fácil y a la medida de nuestros caprichos, sino que estamos para servir.

It’s not uncommon to hear people complain that we Catholics often fail in communicating our faith. Fair enough. We can and should improve there. But it’s interesting to notice that Jesus himself was implicitly accused by his disciples of a similar failure. This week in Matthew’s gospel they are perplexed that he speaks to the crowds in ambiguous parables. The Lord’s riddles leave many people more confused than before. He responds by pointing out that his parables have an intentional dual purpose: to hide (for some) and to reveal (for others) his Gospel: “Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted” (Matthew 13:11). Is Jesus being unnecessarily difficult, obscurantist, or, worse, elitist?

Solo quiero pedirles que continúen orando por el gran proyecto de reparación de nuestra iglesia de la Maze. La empresa constructora, Acme, ha estado haciendo un gran trabajo y, hasta ahora, no se ha encontrado con ninguna sorpresa. ¡Gloria a Dios!

A Blessed month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to all of you!

I just wanted to ask you to continue to pray for the major repair project of our Maze church. The construction company, Acme, has been doing a great job and so far, have not encountered any surprises - Praise God!
