Brothers and sisters, we heard in the first reading how God created the world and man in the image and likeness of Himself so that he would have eternal life, not so that he would die. But the Devil introduces death through sin. God loves the world so much that even after death he entered the world by becoming poor so that we could enjoy the riches of reconciliation with his poverty. In the gospel we hear how Jesus came into the world to do good and heal the sick so that they may be saved, but we also have to have faith since without faith we have nothing that can save us.

Hermanos escuchamos en la primera lectura como Dios creo el mundo y al hombre a imagen y semejanza de El mismo para que tuviera vida eterna no para que muriera. Pero el Diablo introduce la muerte atravez del pecado. Tanto ama Dios al mundo que aun después de que la muerte entro al mundo al hacerse pobre para que nosotros pudiéramos gozar de la riqueza de la reconciliación con su pobreza. En el evangelio escuchamos como Jesús vino al mundo a hacer el bien y curar a los enfermos para que se salven, pero también tenemos que tener fe ya que sin fe no tenemos nada que nos salve.

Queridas Hermanas y Hermanos en Cristo

Con el mes de junio, se nos invita a reflexionar sobre el Sacratísimo Corazón de Jesús. Es una realidad profunda que, en medio de la Santísima Trinidad, late un glorioso corazón humano herido: el corazón traspasado del Hijo de Dios, Jesús. Es un corazón representado enardecido por el amor divino y envuelto en las espinas de la Pasión. Es un corazón que nos invita y nos anima a confiar en el amor abnegado de Cristo.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

With the month of June, we are invited to reflect upon the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is a profound reality that in the midst of the Holy Trinity, beats a gloried wounded human heart - the pierced heart of the Son of God, Jesus. It is a heart depicted aflame with divine love and wreathed with the thorns of the Passion. It is a heart that invites and encourages us to trust in the self-sacrificing love of Christ.

Este Domingo XI del Tiempo Ordinario el apóstol San Pablo nos dice en la segunda lectura, “Caminamos guiados por la fe, sin ver todavía”. (2 Corintios 5:7). 

(Hebreos 11:1) nos dice que “La fe es garantía de lo que se espera y prueba de lo que no se ve”.

This 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time the apostle Saint Paul tells us in the second reading, “We walk guided by faith, without yet seeing.” (2 Corinthians 5:7). (Hebrews 11:1) tells us that “Faith is a guarantee of things hoped for and proof of things not seen.”

Asumir la responsabilidad de nuestras acciones es algo con lo que muchas personas luchan, especialmente cuando nuestras acciones nos han llevado a pecar. Recuerdo a un sacerdote en un Servicio Penitencial dando instrucciones para aquellos que buscaban el Sacramento de la Reconciliación, y dijo: "Por favor, simplemente confiesa tu pecado, no trates de justificarlo".

Taking responsibility for our actions is something that many people struggle with, especially when our actions have led us to sin. I remember a priest at a Penance Service giving instructions for those seeking the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and he said “please, just confess your sin, do not try to justify it”.

Happy June to all of you, or better yet, a Blessed month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus! This month we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Sacred Heart of Jesus, and specifically, this weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ-Corpus Christi.

Nuestro preescolar se complace en anunciar que ofreceremos un programa de verano para niños de 2 a 6 años. Este emocionante programa se desarrollará del 3 al 28 de junio, de lunes a viernes, de 8:00am a 4:00pm.

Our preschool is thrilled to announce that we will be offering a summer program for children ages 2-6. This exciting program will run from Mon, Jun 3 to Fri, Jun 28, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

I hope all is going well for you as we journey through the Easter Season in anticipation of the Solemnity of Pentecost. As we wait for the outpouring of the Gift of the Holy Spirit, I would like to share with you that I have received a unique invitation from the Bishop of the Diocese of Angra, Azores, to preside at the solemn celebration of the most popular and most attended religious event held within the nine island archipelago of the Azores which are located roughly 1,000 miles west of mainland Portugal in the mid-Atlantic Ocean.

Espero que todo vaya bien para ustedes mientras atravesamos el tiempo de Pascua en anticipación de la solemnidad de Pentecostés. Mientras esperamos la efusión del don del Espíritu Santo, me gustaría compartir con ustedes que he recibido una invitación única del obispo de la diócesis de Angra, Azores, para presidir la celebración solemne del evento religioso más popular y concurrido que se celebra en el archipiélago de nueve islas de las Azores, que se encuentran aproximadamente a 1.000 millas al oeste de Portugal continental, en el Océano Atlántico medio. Esta festa religiosa -fiesta- se celebra en la isla de São Miguel, en la ciudad capital de Ponta Delgada.

Estamos en el tiempo de Pascua y es un tiempo alegre. Para los niños que están recibiendo la Primera Comunión es una temporada muy especial. El 27 de abril, 26 niños del colegio católico San Estanislao  recibieron la Primera Comunión. En este mes 70 niños van a recibir la Primera Comunión. Me gustaría felicitar a todos los comulgantes de Primera Comunión. Me gustaría dirigirme a estos niños a través de este artículo.

We are in the Easter season and it is a joyful season. For the children who are receiving the First Holy Communion it is a very special season .On April, 27, 26 children from St. Stanislaus catholic school received the first Holy Communion. In this month 70 children are going to receive the First Holy Communion. I would like to congratulate all the first Holy Communicants. I would like to address these children through this article.

Dear friends, we continue to celebrate Easter, the passage of the Lord through our lives and personal history. And it is a step that leaves a mark of love that marks our lives. The Lord of Life becomes for the Christian the WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE (Cf. John 14:6)
